With this app, you can view traffic cameras, read alerts about construction and incidents, and weather information. For winter travel you can see information about snow plows and chain control. Also available is Google Traffic that tells you how busy the roads are.

Here is a complete list of layers you can display on the map:

* alerts, both future and present
* traffic cameras, to see the actual traffic conditions in near real-time
* weather stations, for up-to-the minute weather information
* rest areas, because when you gotta go, you gotta go!
* digital signboards, to see important messages from the DOT
* historical markers, read about historical events without getting out of your car
* snowplows, to see where they are plowing
* chain control, for information on where tire chains are required

With this app, you can be smart and be informed, no matter where your travels take you in California.
