The JHG Dictionary is an invaluable tool for musicians seeking comprehensive information about chords, scales and arpeggios. Whether you've come across a chord, scale or arpeggio that you don't recognize or want to explore all positions and shapes of a specific chord, scale or arpeggio, this app has you covered.
If you've seen someone play a chord, scale or arpeggio and want to identify it, simply enter the chord or scale fingerings that you see (you can even just some, and not all of the fingers) into the JHG Dictionary. The app will provide you with the accurate name of the chord, scale or arpeggio, allowing you to further study or incorporate it into your own playing.
On the other hand, if you already know the name of a chord, scale or arpeggio and want to explore different positions and shapes of that chord, scale or arpeggio, the JHG Dictionary offers the world's most extensive database of each. Enter the name of the desired chord, scale or arpeggio and the app will present you with all possible positions and shapes of that particular chord, scale or arpeggio. This will provide valuable insights into various voicings, fingerings, and patterns, allowing you to expand your repertoire and explore new musical possibilities.
