Summer has finally arrived here in the UK, and to celebrate one of our favourite seasons, today's release is chock-full of new features, improvements and fixes that we hope will open up new possibilities, new perspectives, and also brighten up your day :)
**New Costa Rica Collection**
This stunning new collection of portals takes you right into the heart of Costa Rica’s pristine rainforests. Specifically captured to evoke feelings of escape, exploration and soft fascination, it draws on the latest research on the restorative power of nature on our minds - to help lower stress, boost creativity, and enhance your focus & concentration.
**New Features**
- Display spanning is finally here! When using Portal across multiple displays you can now select to have the scene flow seamlessly across all your screens. Settings > Display > Layout.
- Landscape, portrait or ultra-wide - however you like your displays - your chosen scene will now always be picture perfect with Intelligent Framing ensuring you get the very best view.
- Nanoleaf’s new Skylights are now fully supported, bringing incredible brightness & immersion to all your favourite portals. Settings > Lighting.
- Beautiful binaural playback is now available through stereo speakers.
**Improvements**
- An exclusive discount from our friends at Nanoleaf is now available, and can be used across the entire Nanoleaf product line. Head to Settings > Lighting.
- All circular portal tiles now have all relevant menu options available: you can play/pause, favourite/unfavourite & share.
- Author labels have been introduced for quotes used in articles & portal descriptions.
**Fixes**
- An issue that could lead to lower than optimal resolution visuals being used on portrait displays has been fixed.
- Screens no longer freeze when mirroring across multiple monitors.
- Fixes have been put in place to ensure Portal is silky smooth when being played across multiple displays.

Muy buena app, con sonidos de buena calidad y una interfaz mágica.
Lo único que agregaría, sería una función de sonidos aleatorios, que vayan cambiando cada cierto tiempo, pero todo lo demás, genial.

Thank you ever so much for your kind and helpful feedback - we're absolutely thrilled that you're enjoying Portal!
The exciting thing is we feel as though we've only really just scratched the surface on what Portal can do and have so much more planned that will continue to build upon and improve the Portal experience and really push the boundaries of its effectiveness by combining cutting edge research in the field of environmental psychology with the latest advances in immersive technology.
We've still got a few things up our sleeve to take the Mac experience up a notch or two, which could well include the addition of features like a pomodoro-esque focus timer (your feedback is helping sway that decision), so please keep your eyes peeled! 👀

This apps is cool but a bit buggy
Is a bit buggy, sometimes videos start frozen even if you change the "landscape" and can be frozen for a while until they start working again.

Thanks so much for taking the time to drop us a review - we're absolutely delighted to hear that you're a Portal fan and hope that it's making a positive difference in your life!
So so sorry to hear about the visuals ahve been bugging out for you - we pride ourselves on delivering the highest quality experiences possible and from what you've said that's not the experience you're having. To confirm, what you've described is most definitely not expected behaviour - to reassure you we thoroughly beta tested Portal with several hundreds of beta testers before releasing it onto the Mac App Store and had not had this flagged before.
In fact, Portal is specifically optimised for Apple Silicon so that there is no stuttering or jittering, and should be buttery smooth even when playing our highest quality 8K motion visuals and multi-channel Spatial Audio. Needless to say we'd love to investigate this further so that we can get to the bottom of what's happening here. If you can email us some Support Info (Help > Export Support Info) to hello@portal.app we'll do our utmost to get this fixed for you, so you can experience Portal at it's very best! 😊
