Moving from aText to Alfred? aText to Alfred helps you migrate custom text snippets without losing the structure you rely on—groups, keywords, and abbreviation prefixes. ## WHAT IT DOES Import your aText library or a simple CSV file, preview every snippet before you export, and generate Alfred-ready .alfredsnippets bundles you can double-click to import into Alfred. ## WHY USE THIS INSTEAD OF MANUAL COPY-PASTE • Preserves group names and AbbreviationPrefix behavior • Shows the final trigger keyword before export (prefix + keyword) • Exports Alfred-compatible bundle structure (info.plist and JSON at the zip root) • Splits multi-group libraries into separate .alfredsnippets files inside one .zip • Lets you select only the snippets you want to migrate ## HOW IT WORKS 1. Import — Drag and drop an .atext or .csv file, or choose a file from the picker. 2. Preview — Review name, final keyword, and content. Deselect anything you do not want to move. 3. Export — Save a single .alfredsnippets file, or a .zip with one bundle per aText group. ## PREFIX EXAMPLE If a group uses prefix "e" and a snippet keyword is "line", the preview shows "eline"—the same keyword Alfred will use after import. ## PRIVACY All parsing and export happens locally on your Mac. Your snippet files are not uploaded, and no account is required. ## REQUIREMENTS • macOS 14.0 or later • An existing aText export (.atext) or compatible CSV • Alfred (Powerpack) to import the exported snippets ## DISCLAIMER aText to Alfred is an independent third-party migration utility.
