This app simplifies the running of an inter-school chess tournament for teams of four players. It is all about making it easy for a teacher to set up and manage a chess day that is fun for kids.

The key to this app is the large visual display (projector/TV). The display shows clearly where the players should be each round. Management of the day is fun and easy as the large display shows what is happening as it happens.

This app supports 6 to 8 teams playing 5 to 7 rounds of chess for free.

The number of teams supported can be extended beyond 8 (up to 30) for a single tournament through an in-app purchase.

What’s New

Version 3.0

Pairings can now be manually adjusted.

This feature has been added for completeness. In practice I am too busy during a competition to spend time manually adjusting pairings and would rarely have a reason to do so. But if you do, you now can! Note that this feature can also be used after a round has commenced. For example if two teams with games in progress are sitting on the wrong sides of a table.
