The application is intended for use only by healthcare professionals. The main goal of the application is to be an easy-to-use and useful tool for calculating a babys hip type. The healthcare professional will provide some basic information about the baby after examination like the baby birth date, date of examination and both infant hip angless (in degrees). Based on an algorithm the application will display a result abount the infant's hip type. Also instructions are displayed based on the result. Healthcare professionals who use it, do so at their own risk and should exercise their own clinical judgment as to the information they provide to the patients. We have tried to create content to conform to the standards of professional practice that prevailed at the time of development. However, standards and practices in medicine change as new data become available and the individual medical professional should consult a variety of sources. Medical information changes rapidly.
