Bookends is the reference management app you've been looking for.

The basic version offers:

• Search online sites directly (arXiv, Google Books, Google Scholar, JSTOR, the Library of Congress, PubMed, PubMed Central, and Semantic Scholar) or use the built-in browser (EZProxy-compliant) to download PDFs and reference metadata (requires access privileges). Searches can return a maximum of 20 references, and only 50 references can be stored in your personal database.
• Use unique identifiers such as DOI, PMID, ISBN, or arXiv id to autofill references.
• See PDF annotation in a note stream, and create your own with our powerful PDF markup engine.
• Barcode scanning, one per day.
• And many more features designed to help you discover, organize, and use reference information.

Standard, one-time purchase ($14.99):

• No limit on searches or importing.

Pro Features Yearly Subscription ($14.99). Requires a Standard purchase.

• Cloud sync with all your iOS devices and Bookends for Mac (separate purchase)

Subscription is for one year and has an auto-renew option. The subscription can be managed in iOS -> Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions. A subscription may renew if it isn't canceled at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
If the subscription is not renewed, Pro Features will be disabled but Standard features will continue to work.
No cancellation of the current subscription is allowed during the active subscription period.

• Barcode Scan improvements. Fetched metadata and book covers, if available, will be retrieved from two sources: Google Books and Open Library. If the book is already in your library, the metadata will be highlighted in yellow and tapping on it will show to the existing reference in the library.
• Sort references by Citekey.

What is difference

There is a similar app called References on tap and the function is same, so I want to know what is difference between Bookends and References.

Additional features in Bookends for iOS are:
• Citation creation.
• Cloud and Wi-Fi Sync with Bookends on Mac.
• Multi-library support.
• Multiple Windows on iPadOS 13+.
• Generation of links to references that can be inserted into other apps.
• Cross linking support with DEVONthink.
• Quick Add Reference.

• Safari View Controller.

Buy subscription again by mistake in “In-app purchase”

There is one risk for customer I want to highlight. I have bought standard version and pro subscription In “In-app purchase”. But these two buying options are still active there!!!!!

They should be inactive to reminder users that they have bought the products.

I clicked the pro subscription and found Apple store asked me to confirm the purchase!!! If you don’t remember your previous purchase you probably will buy twice!

Please deactivate the purchase option which has already been purchased! Please fix this problem and make a new release ASAP!
