Local News is heard at 7:06 a.m., 8:10 a.m., 12:30 p.m. and 5:04 p.m. North Carolina News Network five minute update of local, regional, state and national sports is heard weekdays at 6:25 a.m., 7:25 a.m. and 12:45 p.m. WFSC is the station Macon Countians can depend on for up to date and accurate weather information. Weather forecasts are heard at :05 and :40 past each hour and regular programming is interrupted for emergency weather information. Coverage Area of WFSC broadcasts at the very center of the dial, 1050 kHz, with a Grade A signal and translated on 104.9 mHz, covering Macon County and much of Jackson and Swain Counties, including the towns of Sylva and Bryson City. The Grade B signal covers all of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and reaches the North Carolina communities of Cherokee, Cashiers, Robbinsville, Andrews, Hayesville and Waynesville. Clayton, Sky Valley, Mountain City and Dillard, in extreme Northeast Georgia, are within WFSC’s coverage area.
