Want a fresh new look for your iPhone? You don’t have to buy a new device; changing the wallpaper might do the trick. But it can be a hassle to go through your photos to find the right image. Why not teach your iPhone to change its wallpaper automatically? All you need is Shortcuts, combined with Cuto Wallpaper. Here’s how to make the magic happen.

Let’s start by taking a look at Cuto Wallpaper.

First open your iPhone’s Settings > Shortcuts > turn on Allow Untrusted Shortcuts. This option will be available after running any shortcut.
After your Shortcuts are enabled, open Auto Wallpaper, tap … to open the menu and select Shortcuts Automation. You’ll need to purchase the Pro version to unlock this feature.
Select a wallpaper automation option and tap Run.
Open the Shortcuts app, select Add Untrusted Shortcut and tap Done.

Select Cuto Random, allow access to Cuto Wallpaper and an image from the app’s library will be automatically set as your wallpaper. Now you’ve got a new wallpaper! But we’re still only halfway there to making it change automatically. To set that up, you have to create another shortcut.

In the Automation tab of the Shortcuts app, tap Create Personal Automation.
Select a time of day – such as 6am – then tap Next.
Tap Add Action, search for “Shortcuts” and tap Run.
Tap Shortcuts, select Cuto Random and tap Next.
To fully automate the process, turn off Ask Before Running, then tap Done.

Now you’re all set! Every day at the time you selected, your iPhone’s wallpaper will refresh to a new image from Cuto Wallpaper’s library.

With a new wallpaper waiting to greet you every day, you can get that brand-new iPhone feeling every morning.
