◆◆◆ Requires a hardware ADS-B Receiver - see info below ◆◆◆

ADS-B Radar lives on your menu bar (top right), at a glance you know how many aircraft are currently within reception range of your ADS-B receiver.

ADS-B Radar uses the JSON information provided by your own dump1090 RTL-SDR receiver or Jetvision's Radarcape / Air!Squitter.

Click the airplane icon on the status bar to open the map and view all aircraft and ADS-B flight statistics such as callsign, speed, squawk, vertical speed, category, track, distance, country of registration, etc.

Drag the popup window from the status bar for an uninterrupted view, resize or maximise the window as needed.

The route is visible on the map, blue represents level flight, while green, orange and red represent an increasing/decreasing vertical rate of speed.

Enable the ATC option to show a small box next to each aircraft with callsign, altitude, speed and aircraft category or type. The color of the box represents a flight altitude and is user configurable.

Configure local notifications based on callsigns, icao codes, countries, registration, aircraft category or type, squawks, altitude, vertical rate, speed, distance and number of aircraft within reception range. An optional ? prefix/suffix wildcard allows for a notification which partially matches the icao, callsign or aircraft type.

Re-post each notification with aircraft flight data in JSON to a web server for further processing. This will allow you to convert it to an email, tweet, log to a database, etc.

A map search will quickly identify the aircraft on the map based on a search for callsign, icao code, country, registration or category/type.

Should the JSON contain the aircraft category, different aircraft icons are available ranging from light to heavy, a glider, a helicopter, a drone or an airport vehicle. For Radarcape or Adsbdb.com JSON data this is extended to 30 different aircraft icons, based on aircraft type (A320, B737, etc.).

With the share button you can easily share a snapshot of the map with aircraft and flight data.

Log raw aircraft data from your receiver to a local SQLite database to provide your own historic flight information and plot old flight directions on the map.

Launch an image search for the aircraft with a fully configurable search URL to point to your favourite source (which could be your own API).

Enable a search on the public adsbdb.com API for more information on the aircraft, airline, route and to display a photo of the aircraft.

Expand your coverage and add multiple ADS-B stations to build your own network.

◆◆◆ What makes this App stand out ◆◆◆

- Plug & play, simple to set-up
- Super quick access via the menu bar, 'always on'
- Low CPU, memory and energy usage
- Beautiful crisp graphics and text
- Local notifications with re-post possibility
- Fullscreen option for uninterrupted radar mode
- Independent from online databases, maps and API's, completely private
- Log to a local SQLite database for more statistics
- Web search for the aircraft with built-in mini browser
- Be independent and use the data you collected
- Works from macOS 10.14 (Mojave)

◆◆◆ Requirements ◆◆◆

Your own ADS-B hardware radio receiver with access to the JSON aircraft information file.

The best solutions are:

- A DIY Raspberry Pi with a RTL-SDR USB dongle running dump1090 (-fa)
- Jetvision's Radarcape / Air!Squitter receiver

This app uses the information presented in a JSON file by dump1090 or the Radarcape / Air!Squitter.

It does not rely on a built-in or online database with aircraft information, it works completely autonomous and private.

For more aircraft and flight details, an optional search allows for a check against the web or the adsbdb.com public API.

This app is free from ads, requires no subscriptions, no sign-up, no API registration, no in-app purchases and respects your privacy.
