Description

This solution (instrument and app) provides advanced measurement of color and appearance features of any object and can assess, report and trend this data in a central repository. Multilevel data structure, system allows for multiple operator accounts with different levels of capabilities. Application measures over 25 parameters which together, can be configured to provide an advanced tolerance system which opens up new opportunities in many areas of manufacturing where color and appearance are of key importance. The measuring instrument’s aperture is adjustable from 0.3 mm to 6mm which provides great flexibility in the type and range of objects that can be measured, especially small objects.

Unique features:

Ultra small aperture: 0.3 mm – 6.18mm — the fast and easy way to measure very small objects.
Dominant Color algorithm — the unique technology to measure some complex object by extracting dominant color from the image. Can be combined with small aperture to measure objects smaller than 0.3 mm
Unique surface analysis including sparkling and other effect detection, great for quantifying uneven surface characteristics common with wood, metal, aluminum, stone and granite surfaces.
Reference image for the operator for visual comparison, make it easy for operator to know what and where to measure.
Fast, easy, user-friendly iPhone App for efficient data capturing

Technology benefits:

Central cloud-base data repository
Global operations and reporting
Proof of measurement — picture + timestamp + operator ID – the operator has can reject measurement, but once accepted can’t be deleted.
Accountability management (privileges related to type of account)
Expert-level measurement reports (CC website)
Multi-level tolerances

The measurement device provides a camera viewfinder which, when combined with advanced measuring algorithms, can measure the colorimetric coordinates of the selected part of the image. The use of many simultaneous algorithms allows an average measurement, dominant color measurement and partial characteristics of the measured surface. Uniformity index is a parameter that describes how homogeneous the surface is; Vibrance index, in turn, quantifies objects that have multi-colored points which are characteristic of some materials, e.g. metallic surfaces. This parameter is also associated with the surface cracking, whose structure causes micro-fission of light.

The dominant color extraction technology means that the color measurement can ignore the structure it is applied to. At the same time, this structure is described by many additional parameters that create a specific fingerprint (actual color appearance- comparison of parameters allows to eliminate accidental measurements.
ChromaChecker Nano is part of the CC Color Inspector - one of the many tools offered by ChromaChecker. System users can combine the use of other tools for very advanced applications.

Chromachecker Nano is a unique solution resulting from the cooperation of the Colorix (Switzerland) and the ChromaChecker Corporation(US).

The solution requires: Nano measuring device,
