Description

FactStream helps you find the truth in American politics by bringing together the work of the three largest U.S. fact-checking organizations – the Washington Post, PolitiFact and FactCheck.org. During major events such as speeches and debates, you can follow along as our partners fact-check in real time.

Key Features:

See a daily stream of the latest fact-checks as they’re published.
Receive notifications of the latest fact-checks on your iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch.
Choose to get notifications of just the “worst” ratings such as “4 Pinocchios” or “Pants on Fire.”
Search the latest fact-checks by name, subject or keyword.
Follow live fact-checking during major political events such as political debates and major speeches.

FactStream was developed as part of the Tech & Check Cooperative, a project of the Duke University Reporters’ Lab, which uses automation to help fact-checkers do their work and broaden the audience for this important journalism. Learn more at www.reporterslab.org

What’s New

Version 2.5.1

Thank you everyone for continuing to use FactStream to stay informed about misinformation across the United States!

This small release fixes a potential crash introduced in version 2.5.0.

In this build we have two major new features:
1. Dark mode support is finally here so you can more comfortably read fact-checks as the evenings get longer.
2. We have added the ability to filter fact-checks by languages for our partner organizations that post in more than just English. You can update this on the in-app settings page.
