Guitar Pro 4+

Of course, I probably failed to read the fine print and see that you cannot edit files in this app, but that's beside the point. The file system is totally unworkable because you cannot add a folder to the list of 'favorites'. For example, if there's a file that gets updated regularly. Instead, you need to find the folder each time and select the file from it. This is a drag. The other thing I don't like is how the app justifies the amount of bars per line, which it does by its own accord and totally without regard for how the original file was made. You also have no option in changing this. Overall, if you can just export the GTP file from you desktop app to a PDF, or print it on paper, this app quickly becomes obsolete. I do not recommend it as it is a waste of money.

Here's a short list of what's missing and really necessary:

1. Only triplets are available! Quintuplets, sextuplets, septuplets, etc are really really important too! Can we make n-tuplets available?

2. Search function in the notepad section should search Title, Artist, Album and Remarks fields! This would make it so much easier to find that specific lick or riff out of the hundreds that have been composed by the user. I imagined using the remarks field to insert my own personal tags for each tab I write (e.g. Pentatonic, descending, sequence, etc.) so that I can search for relevant tabs when necessary.

3. Should be able to also browse tabs written in the notepad section by Title, Artist or Album. In the same way that you can browse scores.

4. Ability to notate pre-bends, pre-slides, after slides, Down and Upstrokes are also necessary but unavailable.

I don't get the point of making a half assed version of such an amazing software. Is guitar pro for iOS just a tool for reading scores that have already been written on a computer? I'm a professional musician on the move and I need to get my ideas into guitar pro on my iPad. These missing features from the notepad make me regret purchasing the app. It's a shame really. Not the few dollars I paid. But the fact that I would have gladly paid up to $20 to have the above features included.. Pls pls do something about this. This is such a great app. So much potential for the mobile guitarist to put down their ideas etc. instead you have an app that just lets you down In a really lame pathetic kind of way. I'm willing to pay more for these features. I appreciate the work. Pls give us a guitar pro for iOS that's actually geared towards guitarists and not just ppl dicking around on their iOS devices and reading purchased songbook material. The notepad section shouldn't be just an after thought.. "Oh look you can write some notes too if you like.. You can even bend the strings.. Cool huh? Yeah but that's all you get.. Forget about tuplets, prebends, up/down strokes and all that guitary stuff you guys do.."
I'm extra disappointed because I was looking forward to using this app when I bought my iPad and was looking forward to depending on it.
