Description
Find your bike, get on it and start cycling immediately - around the clock, with your smartphone! All you need is the nextbike by TIER app. It simplifies rentals, returns and always shows you bikes near you.
To rent, simply select the bike, scan the QR code or enter the bike number - and off you go! You can return your bike at one of our stations or in the flexzone. The map function in the app helps you to find the right return location. With our app you have everything at a glance: manage your customer account, redeem vouchers, discover news, give feedback or contact our customer service.
The app can be used for all nextbike brands. Once registered, you can also ride in other brands. From now on, TIER vehicles will also be displayed in selected cities in the nextbike by TIER app. You can rent these vehicles via a deep link in the TIER app.

The nextbike app is regularly updated by us. Our goal is to improve the app continuously and to provide you with an optimal user experience. In this update we have therefore made the following changes:

It’s easy to use, it’s not that expensive and the bicycles are in a really good condition!
The only thing that confuses me sometimes is the payment methods and what happens if I do not have 4g? Can I rent a bicycle while I’m offline? Thank you!

Hey Magdalene, thanks for your feedback! We're glad to hear that you are satisfied with nextbike. You can rent our bikes in the app and via phone as well. Just call your local nextbike customer support hotline, choose a bike and we will open the lock for you and close it again, when you're done with your ride. Best, your nextbike team
Glitchy!
Very often the bikes don’t unlock. If you return a bike then change your mind and want to unlock it again. you cannot. Just says that you returned it recently. It doesn’t even tell you how long you are timed out for. Very user unfriendly.
Also I’ve been charged €20 today despite having an annual plan where I can ride for 120 mins for free. I’ve used about 30 mins of it today and no idea where the charge is from. Customer service doesn’t answer the phone and there’s no live chat. I’ve sent messages in their support/contact form all day with no response. First problem started at 8am this morning when it told me I needed to add a payment method and my profile was incomplete despite me using the bikes since a week already. Then it charged me €1. Which randomly then appeared in my credit. This app is a nightmare!
Scammed me for 20 euro.
Found the bike nowhere near the bike station. Cleaned it and after using it I thought I can leave it anywhere on the pedestrian area. Got a message after 4 hours that I have 20 euro fine for parking in a non bike station. No way am I walking back at 12:00 night to put it back in spot in order to revert my fine (they didn’t even specify that you can do that). Just don’t let your users lock it in a non bike station or at least send your notifications instantly.
