What does an Airalo eSIM plan come with?
• An Airalo package comes with data (e.g., 1GB, 3GB, 5GB, etc.) valid for a specified time period (e.g., 7 days, 15 days, 30 days, etc.). If you run out of data or your validity period expires, you can top up your eSIM or download a new one right from the Airalo app.

Perfect app!
I wanted to use it while going to Turkey from the Czech republic and I have heard about so many scammers that they scammed tourists with the sim cards etc that it cost more money, different tariffs for tourists and domestic users etc, so I decided to buy the eSim package. So my experience with Airalo…it was just PERFECT! No contact with people, you can upgrade to any package you want, I have had a coverage of a local operator, so there was no difference with the locals 🤷🏻♂️ This is how I imagine it if you frequently fly abroad or need a quick local connection without any issues and contacts with the offices and people etc. because usually the problem is in people and bad communication. Once I got stuck in Azerbaijan when they had a local holidays and I could not exchange money, couldn’t get a local sim card nor even buy anything for cash because of that, and I was cut out from the rest of the World for 5 days. By using Airalo - you are in touch anywhere and anytime. I liked this app and the service, now I am ready for my Global travels, stay online anytime anywhere and be flexible. Cool. P.S. Nobody paid me for this comment (too bad, a buck of discount would be fine), and I wrote this review myself, without Chat GPT 😄

I like it
I learned about the use of an eSIM card to radically reduce data roaming charges when traveling from Europe to the US about a month before the trip from friends. I studied the theory and looked at the offer of Holafly and Airalo. Airalo's tariffs better suited our timing and the required amount of data, and we were also interested in the prices. Registering on the Airalo website, installing the app, paying for the plan for the US and even for Canada were straightforward. Then a moment of concentration when activating the eSIM cards.
After arriving in the US, I had already turned off data roaming on the physical SIM card, I just switched the data to the US eSIM. I am now on my third day using it in the states of Illinois, Iowa, Wisconsin, Indiana, Kentucky and now Michigan. Verizon Wireless had week coverage in a few places, but after a while I was back on LTE. I am satisfied.

Thus is an excellent option for a traveller. Easy to use, automatic setup and easy to activate.
First I was reluctant, so I made a test. I bought the smallest package for 6$ for my home country and it worked perfectly!
After that I was confident to buy for Turkey, Qatar and Tanzania, where my trip was taking me. The only issue I faced was in Zanzibar, because the Tanzanian partner, Vodacom, has a very weak signal on the island. It works perfectly on tge mainland, but not in Zanzibar. But this is the issue of the local provider, not Airalo.
All recommendations for this app. I plan to use it a lot in the future 😊
