I have love and hate relationship with this book. It is indeed deep and makes you think beyond what is written, which I value deeply. I believe the book is often misunderstood due to people’s biases and antipathy towards soviet times. However, if we think beyond that, author himself nudges readers to go deeper than what we are told to, and exposed to, so why don’t they?!
No interesting author in subscription

So I got the free month trial. I expect that for the quite high monthly fee, it would function like a combination of a public library and a streaming platform and I would just look up a book by Toni Morrison or Stephen Fry and listen to it. But no, it all needs additional purchases, you pay the fee to get an access to pay for the book? There are for sure some books in subscription but in the genres there’s no filter button to show only those and the app is incredibly hard to navigate to find the plus catalog content. Needless to say, I cancelled my subscription.
Use it daily but the home screen is terrible

The home screen is absolutely useless for me as a user. The fact that it’s the default screen—as opposed to the library—, and that it cannot be disabled, is very frustrating. When I launch the app, then 99% of the time I just want to quickly resume playing the current book.Also, the app is non-responsive for a few seconds upon being launched. I assume it’s doing some background tasks but it doesn’t provide any visual indication of what’s going on.
At Audible, we’re always making updates and improvements to make your listening experience better. This version includes improvements and fixes to the Library.
