I hate to be writing this review, trust me. I usually never hate on consumer products. This app, however, made me do it. simply-Fi’s user interface is horrible. What’s even worse, however, is how the app communicates its error messages. While setting up a new washer it asks you whether you "can download simply-Fi with an NFC-equipped smartphone". What does that even mean? Does it mean that my phone does not support NFC? Or that it does? If you tap "Yes" it just tells you to use a different phone and open some URL in its browser. If you tap "No" you can for some reason continue the process normally. Until you end up on a screen titled "Appliance recognized". You’d assume such a title means success. Sadly, the messages below—written in broken English—are suggesting it probably won’t work on your network because only 2.4 GHz networks are supported and the Wi-Fi password can't have any characters other than letters and numbers in it. Am I supposed to add a legacy less secure router just to be able to use the washer and dryer? This is ridiculous.

Hi, we are sorry for the inconvenient. You should know when we developed our smart appliances, Apple used to produce variuos hardware for the NFC technology, so that iOS devices are not completely compatible with our NFC appliances. However you can take advantage of Tips, Help on-line and Manuals.

Terrible UI and usability

Mine is one of the few washing machines, that actually can be controlled remotely by the app. That however does not bring any convenience. The "menu" to choose a washing program is confusing and way too complicated. More so for the drying.
If I start a washing program remotely I'm left on the menu. No "washing in progress" nothing to check if the program has already started. What happens, if I click on start again? Why can't I see, how much time is left on the program? Delayed start from the app has never worked for me. The program was never sent to the machine.
