Now with Covid it’s a pain to get taxis for a family of 4 since front seat sitting is restricted. With the app you are able to book various sizes easily. Note that for the airport make sure to book the wheel chair accessible van in order to fit 4 people and luggage.

Do NOT use as a tourist. Get a recommendation from your hotel instead.

I've had extremely negative experience using this app.

We booked a trip to the airport for our morning flight. The pickup time was set to 3am and I charged Careem credits explicitly so I didn't have to use cash and deal with scammer taxi drivers. Our driver called me at 2:55 claiming that he needs a payment in cash and that it'll be 100Dhs instead of 50-73 which was the range the app listed. What I didn't realize at the time was that the app was already charging us the Careem credit so the driver was trying to scam us into double paying.

We needed to catch our flight so I agreed but said I needed to withdraw from ATM at the airport. The driver proceeded to drive us AWAY from the airport looking for ATMs because I refused to pay a large withdrawal fee at the one where he stopped for us.

When I found out he wasn't going to the airport I threatened to call support and police at which point he finally turned around. At the airport I found out he was trying to double charge us the entire time.

I contacted Careem support with this case and they did not react.

Stay away from this app. Let your hotel arrange a driver with pre set price instead.

Awful experience

Driver marked as Arrived, however not to where he was meant to pick me up. Kept chatting with him for 10min asking him where he is, even sending him pic showing him where he’s meant to be, he just cancelled the ride without my knowledge or agreement, making my account outstanding and unable to book another ride! Support not responding even 6 hours and 4 messages later - no one answered or dealt with the issue, I am still unable to book a ride and go where l was going. Just awful experience - with the drive and non existent customer service
