Description
The ClinMAPS™ PRO app allows for greater efficiency and increased functionality of scar assessment scales. It allows clinicians and researchers to accurately record the location of the scar for re-assessment by dropping a pin on one of the charts provided or onto a photograph taken with your device’s camera or from your photo library.
The app includes a wide choice of the most utilised scar assessment tools:
- Matching Assessment using Photographs with Scars (MAPS),
- Modified Vancouver Scar Scale (mVSS),
- Patient Reported Outcomes questionnaire
- Japan Scar Workshop Scar Scale (JSW Scar Scale)
- POSAS Patient Scale v2.0/EN
- POSAS Observer Scale v2.0/EN
Assessment and scoring of scar parameters efficiently follows the process required for the assessment being conducted. Notes may be entered in the separate notes section. Scores are then totalled automatically and entered into a printable report that can be sent to a linked printer or attached to an email as a pdf. To ensure patient confidentiality, no patient data is stored within the app. Patient details can be added on the pdf or handwritten on the printed report once the report has been produced.
The report is then ready for insertion into an electronic or paper record.
