With Dark Noise 3.2 all widgets have been rebuilt from the ground up to work with the new macOS interactive widgets! This means you can now start and stop sounds through our highly customizable widgets all from your Notification Center, or even directly on your desktop without the need to open your app.

Crafted with care

I would never think that I’d be writing a review for something as a noise app - seemingly trivial, right?

But I tried many & something annoyed me about each & every one of them.

Dark Noise is as close to perfection as it can be. Every little thing can be fine-tuned, it has lots of sounds & you can just see that the dev (there’s only one indie guy working on this) took great care in making all the details just perfect!

Worth every penny! ❤️

App well done

- Great shortcut support
- Wide range of sounds (who would have guessed a desk fan would be so nice to listen to?)
- Cortex themed icons ❤️

Good, not great

Design of the app is nice and simple.

But:
Why the sounds are so bleak and low quality?
Also, why iPhone requires authentication when you run shortcut to start any sound? It means app is useless with HomePod cause you can’t start it remotely and have to go to the iPhone to unlock it.
