The only review u need

Now I will start this of by saying that I have played this game for 3+ years and I love it. This game CANNOT be compared to mobile games it’s a pc and a PlayStation game that can be played on phones. It has no adds and you don’t have to spend money there is a ton of content to do amazing story and environment. But it’s a “gatcha” game which means there are timed banners where you get characters and weapons from. Now gatcha games are terrible and very hard to get into if you didn’t start playing when the game came out you are going to have a really hard time playing it if you don’t have a motivation or played a similar game before. There are also a few in fandom controversies but I will not talk about them here. Genshin is an amazing game and I will never stop being a fan no matter how many problems it runs into. I wish you all good luck on ur pulls ppl!

An amazing game; but...

Genshin Impact is an amazing free world online game with strangely working anime graphics and entertaining battle mechanics. As you level up, so do the monsters and you have many opportunities for fighting a boss with well-thought attacks from the said boss which makes them very challenging sometimes. And if you fail you can always try on later. Meantime you can roam the world map, look for chests, raid dungeons, cook food and solve puzzles for example. The story is not too childish yet not too hardcore so people of all age can enjoy it (especially anime lovers). You have many interactions available along with random quests from random NPCs in the world. Usually there is not many npcs or random interactions in RPGs or other similiar games. Gen. Imp. is packed with those. I absolutely adore the game and even tho it offers micro-transactions later on, it is not necessary for you to enjoy the game. Only thing, it still has some bugs on older generation phones. Mine is iPhone 6s, iOS 13 and I can not really play as there is a “black void” bug (I can not load/see some textures, mostly water, or I can not see into distance). If it was possible I would give 4.8 for the black void bug but this game has such a potential and the creators really did take their time. This is a game we have been waiting for!

need to do better

the game overall is good - it has good mechanics and storytelling. but the one star review is for the complete lack of correct representation of cultures. hoyovorse, you repeatedly state that teyvat (and i’m talking about genshin - teyvat specifically, but your other games need an improvement in representation too.) is only a fictional world. but you’ve stated in the past that your characters and nations ARE inspired by real-life cultures & countries. so i, and the genshin/hoyoverse fanbase rightfully demand an improvement in your representation of cultures in your games. for example - your variety of skin tones. most of your characters are as white as paper - almost no one in real life has skin that pale. in regions like sumeru - where the characters are inspired by people in west asia - are white. and with the upcoming release of natlan it’s the same. natlan is supposed to be this hot, fiery nation, inspired by (mostly) latin america and yet so far we’ve seen characters with barely ANY melanin. not to mention the extremely stereotypical and outright racist design of dori. we, the players of your game expect correct representation of cultures if you are to take inspiration from them. it is only right. the genshin fanbase loves your game and we’d love to hear some feedback. we want to enjoy it, but it is hardly possible for us to do so if you can’t even do this one simple thing.
