My most used app ?! aka MUST HAVE APP 📖📆📓🗂️🎨📊

Goodnote's is the best of all the notes taking app's. If you are interested in taking notes, virtual planners/ diaries, virtual school folders and notebooks, creating all kinds of documents or even drawing: this is the only necessary app for your device. I personally think it is the best way for organizing tools and planning. Thanks to this application I started to plan my days virtually and I am using its contents as my diary and planning tool to stay on track. It was a pleasure to exchange it for my hand-written diary and planners. Thanks to the app I save so much time during planning and scheduling. I don't see any kind of lacking in the app itself and it's tools are just perfect for creating documents and folders. You can surely understand whenever you install and use, that you are no longer be able to live without it. Make your life organized and easier than ever: tap install and learn easily how to make exciting notebooks, folders and documents, that you can surely share with friends NOW! 🩷☺️

What I love & miss

I’m glad that I purchased this app. It’s more powerfull than an average note-taking app and I just enjoy using it.

But a fter transfering from original apple notes I started to miss some functions.

Here’s what I love:
- Overall speed and smoothness of handwriting!!!
- File system and notebook covers!
- Bookmarks!
- Fast laso tool (you don’t wait for reshaping closer aroung your selection.
- Tabs.
- Optimalization for two windows. And more windows opening in general.
- Cropping scaned documents using same corner zooming as apple’s original note app. I tried many other scaning apps and I was disappointed by how badly they cropped. Guidelines were thick and there was mostly missing corner zooming (and it also did not pop-up near your finger but under it).
- Adding both PDFs and pictures.

What I miss:
- I really miss classic pencil tool!
- Duplicate opiton!
- It’s hard to draw regular square or rectangle. I would be glad to see shape edditing option.
- I would like to keep constant thickness of the stroke when resizing it. Mabe add some on/off button?
- Creating a bulleted list in text box.
- Remembering last chosen tool and color for each document.
- Option to edit opacity.
- Drawing a streight line with laso tool and then moving evething underneath upside or downside.
- I would appreciate page zoom percentage.

Flashcards functionality - Pros & Cons

I bought an app because of Flash cards functionality that supports Apple Pencil and has a spaced repetition algorithm (I use Notability for everything else). I like Goodnotes 5 so far as I am able to do the most essential things with flash cards (make handwritten notes super quickly, edit them later not without difficulties though, insert images, change colors/size of the pen and etc). BUT there are A LOT OF things to improve:
1. Cards just accumulate in the deck and there is no search feature available.
2. There is no option to edit a card while you're in a "Study Flashcards" mode.
3. Editing feature is just in general very "raw". To edit the card you should manually scroll through all of your cards in the quest of finding the right one.
3. The progress of learning is not visible to you. You can only reset the progress.
4. There is no option to choose the background of the flashcard - just blank paper available, whereas I would prefer Ruled paper.
5. There are also no features to add a recording, which is immensely useful for e.g. language learning.

Do I regret buying the app?
Definitely not. The time of creating a flash card with your pencil is just so small that I will stay just for that. Although I do hope that developers will continue working on flash cards and won't shut it down as spaced repetition is actually listed as an experimental feature, so the only thing left for me is to hope so.
