Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery 12+

Great potential

I wish I could give 3,5 stars, because that would be the closest to how I feel about the game.
So far, I have finished a few chapters and I already see some small flaws. For example, I would love if there were more character customization options, there’s just too little and even these few options are limited by the game’s two currencies - the Coins and the Gems which are premium.
I also kinda dislike the energy system, but I understand it. I just really want to play the game, but I can’t because I don’t have any energy and have to wait a long time before enough regenerates.

Other than that, I have to say it is a good game and if you like Harry Potter, you should definitely try this out!

Boring, nice visual, but no sounds and just clocking through the story…

The only good thing about this game is really nice visual. But that is the first and the last. Trying to make me buy something after like first two minutes of playing… ok, whatever, you can skip it. But the absence of any meaningful sounds is AWEFUL. Almost nerve-wracking, when you have to read every single line of talking and the character just stay there, sometimes make some “huhh” noise. In the background there are only some like cafe sounds, no music, nothing. Only lines of texts and “hmhh” somtimes. It was really bad experience and because of this the game is unplayable. You are just clicking clicking clicking, sometimes pick an answer, nonsense clicking to go through some lines, clicking, boooring!
Better to read a book (like any book) and use our imagination then stare into the phone and read this BORING game with nice visuals but no sounds, so the experience is somehow empty.
I wasnt far in the story, I couldnt do it, but seems like it would be pretty dumb and I admire everyone who was able to make it to the end… :D

Potterfanatic quite disappointed

While I appreciate how beautifully the game is programmed and that the Castle is quite accurate, I am greatly disappointed how unshamingly money-oriented this game is. If you would like to play, you can only play for a few minutes before the game requires that your energy is recharged. I find it absurd that one energy unit takes four minutes to recharge, whereas to turn a single page in a book uses up three energy units! You can only buy energy units with gems that are as rare in the game as hen’s teeth BUT - GREAT NEWS - you can PURCHASE gems with your own money. What a relief!
Next time consider using advertisement or making the game paid.... I could not wait until the game is released but now I am nothing but sad because of how shamelessly money-oriented the creators of it are... that is not what the Potter community is about. I would have gladly paid for the game itself but I will not pay hundreds of euros to be able to play for more than just 5 minutes (yepp, that’s how long it takes to use up all your energy units...)
