How it works:
- Place your device (iPhone/iPad/iPod) on your acoustic/MIDI piano or keyboard and play; the app will immediately recognize what you are playing
- Get instant feedback on your playing to quickly learn and improve your piano skills
- Discover the magic of music with fun songs in the Library and complete courses to start sounding like a pro

How the Subscription Works:
- All app users can play two free courses. Upgrade to a premium subscription package at any time.
- Subscribers will receive full access to ALL courses. New courses and songs added every month!
- All recurring subscriptions will auto-renew unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Account will be charged for renewal within 24-hours prior to the end of the current period, at the cost of the chosen package.
- Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when the user purchases a subscription to that publication, where applicable.
- Subscriptions may be managed by the user and auto-renewal may be turned off by going to the user's Account Settings after purchase.
- Your subscription is for your iTunes account and can be used on your iOS device.
- Payments will be charged to your iTunes account at confirmation of purchase.

The best app for learning piano

I would like to thank the JoyTunes team for creating and continuously upgrading this fantastic app. This is a truly fun way to learn the piano and enjoy every step of the road.
I’ve tried other piano apps as well and none of them managed to keep me engaged and motivated as Simply piano. Everything is really well thought out and what I also truly appreciate about this app is the fact that they are upgrading the app quite frequently and adding more and more cool features and tools to strengthen your skills. I love beta music -tons of sheet music with great learning features. Today I’ve just found out that they added Skills sections to help you master your acquired skills. I truly enjoy this app and would recommend it to anyone who wants to learn the piano - this app helps you and what is more important ensures that you stick with learning the piano as you will enjoy it so much.

Nice but not without troubles

I love that this app really teaches me how to play. I dont want to play with a teacher and this way I can actually learn something by my own. However, what I dont like at all is the way the songs are presented. They are way too fast and the app gives you more points for playing them with many mistakes but fast, than for playing perfectly at 60 percent speed. Furthermore, the only options are 60,80 and 100% speed, not really slow enough for fast songs... My musical friends were surprised and told me that slow practise is a must if I want to learn a difficult part properly. I would also like if the app told me “you played these four bars wrong, would you like to concetrate on them now?”. Instead you can just play the whole song over again. Yes, you can move the score back by scrolling but the app considers this an “assist” and subtracts points and there is really no feedback on where I made most mistakes. I thing the app is way way way too forgiving for tone and rhytm errors and “punishes” you for scrolling back in the score to play the part perfectly. Quite frustrating.

Not a good idea

I downloaded the app because I wanted to practice some popular songs with my Yamaha keyboard. Everyone has been praising this app how easy it is to learn to play the piano with just your iPhone. I am starting to suspect that none of those people actually tried to do so with an actual iPhone and all used a tablet instead. The moment I put my phone in middle of my keyboard (just like it is on the picture advertising this very app) the keyboard started to make that awful noise you get when you put your phone anywhere near a speaker and the searching signal dialing tone starts to attacking your ears. The closer you are with your phone to the other device the louder the annoying beeping gets. I honestly through that this problem has disappeared since the invention of the smartphones. It would be a great idea but but in reality it just doesn’t work like advertised if you don’t have an IPad instead of just an IPhone.

Also I have a suspicion that all the 5star reviews on this app are fake. Just scroll down and read some of them. Every single one of those are one liner or very short and sounds like they have been generated by bots to make this app seem more popular.
