Best way to review photos

If you ignore the slight awkwardness of getting the photos into Lightroom, this is hands down the best way to review photos.

I am usually pretty sceptical that an iPad app can replace a desktop app for any professional task, but for my use case (street/travel/documentary photography) this is just amazing.

It feels much more pleasant to swipe through the photos directly on the screen instead of pressing keys on a keyboard. The starring/flagging workflow works very well in my opinion and even editing and cropping are pretty great. All those sliders are much nicer to control with a finger than a mouse pointer.

In addition, this app works *very smoothly* on my old iPad Mini. I almost cant believe how well this is optimised.

Many of the reviews here complain about the missing RAW support, pano, etc...Yes, this is a shame, but I am honestly much more excited about an improvement to the core workflow than missing bells and whistles.

Best app for photographers

Lightroom is main reason why I have bought new iPad Air recently. Perfect combo with desktop Lightroom.

Great photo editing algorithms but poor user experience

First on the positive side: The algorithms are the best I was able to find (Pixelmator, Affinity, …). The masking feature is simply great (although the learning curve is very steap for me).

Except of the retouching (the healing brush): This is totally useless, I have to export imaghes to Pixelmator when I need to do the retouching. Especially, close to the edges of the imaghe, it totally missbehaves, creates ugly blackish artifacts.

BUT the UX!

The app UX is apparently Windows-like. Adobe UX experts could/should learn from Apple Apps, how to use the guestures, organize the UI, etc.

Why do I have to tap so many times (long press + remove + delete + confirm) to delte the photo, while it is just a move to the trash bin???

Why I cannot delete the photo directly from the detail?

Why I cannot export multiple photos to the Apple Photos library?

Why I cannot browse the Apple Photos library and open photos from there?
