Description

Personal productivity and life organization

Moleskine Journey is a life planner created to design your day.

Designed for creative minds, independent workers, audacious backpackers, and free spirits, Moleskine Journey uniquely combines the best features of productivity apps (calendars, events, to-do lists, tasks, reminders, and notes) with features for personal growth and self-care (habit trackers and journals).

With our life planner you can organize and document any aspect of your life from one single app.

With Moleskine Journey you can enjoy recording your days, your goals, your priorities, your special moments and habits in one place.

Daily reminders, to do lists and calendars will keep you schedule your important self-care moments and stay on top on your work/life activities. Journals will help you record meaningful day-to-day interactions and thoughts to keep track of the things that matter most to you.

Use your creativity to uniquely combine productivity features with personal growth and self-care tools to create your unique life planner. Express yourself like never before.

Use our collection of Journal templates, their features let you journal on many topics.

Templates currently available: the routine journal, the sleep journal, the mood journal, the expenses journal, the mindfulness journal, the food journal, the gratitude journal, mental health journal, and the weight tracking journal.

But what make our journals special and unique is the possibility to customize them with custom prompts and type of entries, such as photos, link, quotes, tasks, and much more. So if you don’t find the journal that suit your needs you can always create one of your own or hack the existing ones.

HOW DOES A LIFE PLANNER WORK?
Here's how you can use our app every day to stay on top of your work and your life.

Start your day by opening the app and checking your calendar events and tasks for the day.

Then, open your journal and set up customizable prompts to create a taylor-made journal. Write down your intentions for the day and any thoughts that come to mind, so you can be more aware of your emotions and feelings every day.

Plan your work and personal tasks in the to-do lists and check them off as you complete them to make sure you're moving according to your goals and priorities.

Use the weekly list for work to plan everything in advance and mark off tasks day by day. If the list isn't fully completed by the end of the week, move the unfinished tasks to the following week.

For your well-being, keep a daily routine that repeats each day. Track your activities, such as reading, meditating, and drinking water, in Moleskine Journey. You can create a daily routine to tick off each activity or create a specific journal for each activity you care about.

At the end of the day, record your mood, finish your journal entries, and plan some activities for the next day.

This is how you can use the app, but there are many more features and ways to use the life planner.

Our idea is to create a modular system where you can adapt your experience according to your needs and goals.

Moleskine Journey is a membership service with a free trial. Download the app free to try it out without restriction. After the trial period you can choose to purchase a membership which allows unlimited use across all of your devices. Without an active membership, you can still use the app in read-only mode.

Great app, but...

This app is great. No doubts.

It's just so sad that I own the Actions and Timepage, I pay for both and then you release this, which to some extend puts those other apps in the background. I won't be paying for 3 apps. Are you crazy? Can't you support all your apps the same way? I'm waiting for Actions and Timepage on Mac for more than a year now.

Thanks.

Not sure what the purpose is

So the habit building aspects are pretty cool, and it’s a solid app overall, but it seems to be encroaching on Timepage and Actions territory. And unlike Timepage and Actions, it didn’t seem to sync together with the other Moleskine apps, so I decided to go with the Moleskine Studio bundle instead, as those apps are definitely a lot more polished and just “feel” nicer. They also cost less and include Flow, so that’s a bonus I guess.
I don’t understand how Journey fits into the picture, and I didn’t see any advantage in using Journey together with Timepage and Actions, and while it tries to do some of the things that Timepage and Actions do, it’s pretty much objectively worse at both.

If I had to give some suggestions I’d say:
1) Add the heat map from Timepage. That stuff is awesome
2) Show me the weather!
3) Add widgets that combine the calendar, task and habit tracking functionality. So something like a compressed “My Plan” view I guess
4) Add the nice swipe and navigation gestures, they are really intuitive in Actions and Timepage. Journey generally doesn’t feel like a native app, I can’t put my finger on what exactly feels off without taking a bit more time to analyze it, but hey — that’s your job :D

All in all, I love the concept of combining pretty much everything in one app, but Journey seems neither here nor there for me, so I will stick with the Moleskin Studio bundle.

It had a great design, but not anymore after the update

I used to love this app, I love the design and how the habits was visualized and all colorful. However, now they had and update and change it and I don’t like it anymore because you cannot see only the habits anymore, it was merged with to-do list which makes it more stressful when you want to use it mostly for habit tracking. It was better before when there were four sections, one for habits, one for diary/calendar, then to-do, and projects, that was great. No after the update, everything is aggregated and this app is not that good anymore. I wish they left it as it was…

Developer Response ,

Hi Baroweb,
Thank you so much for taking the time to send your feedback.
We know this is a major change and there could be friction approaching it for the first time.
We tried to hear as many opinions as possible before the release to avoid disrupting anyone’s experience but we nonetheless knew that we’d have to adjust and tweak this new interface so that it worked for everybody once released. We’re sorry the change has been particularly harsh for you and we’d like to help you get the most out of the new version with the least effort. Please let us know what’s not working for you, this really help us improve it while following what we think is the right step forward for the service.
Please feel free to write us at journeyapp@moleskine.com to share your ideas and discuss your concerns, we'll be glad to answer your questions and give you any further info you may need.
