Synology Moments allows you to view photos/videos stored in Synology Drive with an iOS device on the go. All your photos will be displayed in time order and get smartly sorted into topical albums, making it fun and easy refreshing your unique moments in life.

Long way to be a good app
The app is the attempt to make the photo and video management similar to google photos. You can see the idea behind. But it is way behind the usability of it.
- upon upload it generates the albums. Many times wrongly. But you cannot move the files from one album to another to correct (and let learn AI)
- So far it is total mess between moments, dsPhoto and UPnP mediaServer. Synology shell pick one way of storing and accessing photos (in /photo dir? in Moments dir? ) and how the albums are created and shared (PhotoStation? Moments?)
- Photos are being displayed quickly while to play a video you must wait 30 seconds to 1 minute to start, even if you are on the very same LAN, hardwired.
SO, IMMATURE PRODUCT, RECKONING BY THE SPEED OF IMPROVEMENTS, WAIT TILL 2030.
Not enough for 2019
Slow, simple UI, to tag a person I need to go trough 3 pages and 4 clicks 🤦♂️ Needs much better UX!
Can’t edit photos
I can upload and browse photos without any problems but I’m unable to edit photos. If I adjust the photo and press done I receive the following error: “failed to save effects”
Happens every time and for all photos, all accounts, and on both my iPhone and iPad.
