Mostly great

In general, this is a good news reading app. My only complaint is that it’s not tied into their email alerts, so when I click on a link, it takes me to their website, and then I have to click again to open the app. Other than that, would be 5 stars.

Non-Native Trouble

This app is great except for one feature.

Normally in a native app when you place a finger on the edge of the screen and swipe to the right it navigates back to the previous screen.

The WSJ doesn’t do that.

Instead the presumably non-native app triggers the navigate back with a scroll in any direction.

This means I never finish an article as I am always placing my thumb to the edge and attempting to scroll down, kicking me out of the article.

This happens every day, multiple times per article, and motivates me to read my news in the apps I have installed that actually allow me to read.
