It can play all your movies, shows and music in most formats directly without conversion.
It allows file synchronization with Dropbox, GDrive, OneDrive, Box, iCloud Drive, iTunes, direct downloads and through Wi-Fi sharing as well as streaming from SMB, FTP, SFTP, NFS, UPnP/DLNA media servers and the web.
VLC offers support for advanced subtitles including full SSA compatibility, multi-track audio, playback speed control and rendering through Chromecast.
VLC is completely free and open source.
more Swiping from the left to the right is opening option of choose videos and folders. I wanna choose it once a year and open this accidentaly 10x times a day. Really hate this option and need it to be optional. Really need to be able bloc it.

I don’t know which actualization it was but I’m happy that in Files on iPhone there’s an option (new for me) “open in VLC” in the lower right corner after opening an audio file. I think on iPad it was available for long time, but in mobile it’s a real game changer. For me, VLC has the best connection to audio files compared to other apps where it is possible to change tempo and loop. Necessary features for musicians or even anyone who’s learning to play/sing. Until there’s an free app who also clears the slowed sound, VLC stays my most favorite audio player.

I think it is best video player on iphone but there is one issue with Airplay - it stream only audio so i need to stream my screen and can't use my phone to other things at the same time. Do you think you can fix it please?
