Description
Vodafone KVIFF Guide is the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival’s new mobile app, designed to guide visitors throughout the entire festival.
Besides a complete catalogue of films, it also contains trailers and the festival program. Registered users can plan their own program and create lists of their favorite films. Holders of a Festival Pass can also use the app to reserve tickets.
In addition to the film program, users will also find detailed information about the program of accompanying events, maps, tips, advice, and news – all designed to help them navigate the festival. The app also delivers notifications about the most important information that audiences definitely should not miss out on.
And as a bonus, users of the Vodafone KVIFF Guide app can follow the festival’s non-stop official television station, KVIFF.TV LIVE, featuring live broadcasts from the red carpet, interviews, film introductions, news and reports about events at the festival, a guide with Janek Rubeš, Čestmír Strakatý’s talk show, contests, discussions, surveys, and much more.

Very nice
Thanks for the app, really well done. It's nice to have kviff app that actually does something. I have just a few notes for improvement.
- it happened once that the state of the app was flushed and I had to add our passes again. It happened after my internet was off and I tried to open the app.
- the first "add to reservations" button was confusing to me. I clicked it and thought it's done and that my tickets are reserved. Luckily I was still in the que, so I could buy the tickets on place.
- It would be nice to get more descriptive error message, when reservation goes wrong. Is it because it's fully booked, connection error or an invalid pass?
- I heard from my friend that he entered wrong credentials for his pass and it behaved as it was correct, he only found out when trying to reserve a ticket.
Very unpleasant experience
The app caused us a lot of stress throughout the festival. We never succeeded in being able to reserve the tickets for the 3 films we had selected even though we woke up every day just before 7am and tried to reserve as soon as the app allowed reservations. The app would tell us after a couple of minutes that tickets were sold out which was not necessarily true as many times we would go to the box office a couple of hours later and get tickets for those same films. In the end we had to line up at the box offices for over an hour each morning to try to get our tickets. No advantage in having bought the festival pass. Very disappointing.
