Unit stats locked behind physical book purchase
While the initial rules are provided for free in the app, faction rules for any faction that gets a rulebook will require a code to unlock them in the app. This includes even basic unit stats. In the old app for 3rd edition AoS the unit rules were provided in the app without a purchase. This is a downgrade and a very greedy move by games workshop. I can tell you from experience with the 40K version of this app that they won’t be updating rules changes from balance updates so you’ll need the app + info from other documents to play the game. I’ve cancelled my Warhammer plus subscription and will be using my existing armies to play with other rules systems made by companies that care more about the game than bleeding their customers for every last penny possible.
