Description
As of September 15th, 2022, support for My Passport Wireless will be limited to critical security updates. To learn more, see the description of "Limited Updates" on our Product Support Lifecycle page.
Support for your My Cloud device has changed, and some devices are no longer supported with this app. We’ve developed a new OS to keep up with evolving security standards. Compatible devices must be Upgraded to My Cloud OS 5 by January 15, 2022. Incompatible devices will lose support on April 15, 2022, and need to use local access to manage your content. For more details, please visit https://www.westerndigital.com/mycloudupdates.
Functionalities with the My Passport Wireless products remain unchanged. You can continue to wirelessly access, organize and stream content from your phone or tablet using the My Passport Wireless app.
Note: The My Passport Wireless app requires a My Passport Wireless device to work (sold separately).

Jednoduché, ale stále co zlepšovat.
Jednoduché k použití. Když kopírujete soubory, ze složky do složky, tak nevidíte kolik procent zbývá. Při přesouvání malých souborů, tak je to jedno, ale pokud několik GB tak nevíte po 20min jestli aplikace soubory přesunula nebo kolik procent vůbec zbývá.
Easy to use. But when I move files from one place to other I don’t see how far transfer is ( how many percent is done). It will be good to have it because if you move big files you don’t see how many times transfer take.
Compatibility issue with iOS files/photos
The app can not read New iPhone photos and videos (HEIC) files. So basically you can not view and watch the files you backed up to My Cloud! Big let down!
In addition to this the app doesn’t upload videos and photos in in the background, need to have the app open and not let your phone go to sleep / idle. I had to keep my phone display lit and open and put it to never sleep mode in order to back up all my phone photos and videos.
Disappointed that the app can not read / view new iOS 11 and iOS 12 photos take with iPhone camera.
2 many bugs
Doing anything on background is impossible. I can not upload nothing on background. If I want to do it, I have to leave phone/tablet with turned display on during the whole process. Incredible.
After last update and adding feature to have WD cloud integrated into Files of iOS, working with this is also impossible. When I list my files there, connection is always lost after several secs. Just... WOW! I thought that app by IT gigant like WD will be working smooth. This is rediculous...
