Subscribe for unlimited and uninterrupted playtime across all platforms. Subscriptions are annual and monthly. Prices may vary in different countries. Payment will be charged to iTunes Account. Subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period. Subscriptions may be managed by the user and auto-renewal may be turned off by going to the user’s iTunes Account Settings. Worth every penny
I’m 36 and loved to play a piano, mostly basic tunes one-handed, probably with bad fingering. I can’t read piano sheets quickly enough to play along.
I always tried to start over the right way to be able to play my favourite pop songs. Since I’m pretty busy with my family, work, etc. I couldn’t attend a proper teacher. I also had tried several apps before, but those were boring and quickly lost my attention.
This November I found Yousician. After free trial I immediatelly hopped on yearly subscription. These days I’m practicing just 30 minutes a day and constantly see progress getting more points and unlocking new levels. Songs available are a fine combination of famous tunes along with exercises-I have to say even the simpest ones are funnny to try as the piano lines are live accompanied by other instruments too, even with singing, and I can feel like in a gig. I know everything I learn builds a base to learn more, tougher songs, eventually the ones I ever wanted to play. Daily lessons became my addiction and my meditation. The progress I already have experienced is more than worth the subscription fee. Please accept my sincere gratitude for what have you unleashed to the world and especiaclly for the potential have you enabled in me.

Very good but an issue
When I connect my wireless phone, the output device does not change and the music plays from the iPad speakers. You go and find out there is an “input audio device” to change in the setup. You change the iPad mic to the headphones ones and suddenly the output audio changes too. There should be an option to change and audio input and output separately. My issue is that i bought a base ukulele to practice a bass guitar when traveling. The E string is not captured by the iPad mic correctly, most of the time a missed tone in the application. What i could do is to place my headphones with the builtin mic on the body of the instrument to capture my playing and listen to the music from the iPad. Thus a separate input and output device would be beneficial.

A plentiful source of fun and motivation
It's my daily pleasure to enjoy playing along with great musicians, it's my weekly pleasure to get involved in very diverse challenges. A year with yousician helped me more than five years of trying myself.
The best thing (apart from various little parts, which are great for your motivation to play) is the very fundamental principle of the app: it can (and it will, immediately) you, if you are playing it well or not.
Well, there are some things, which I miss in the app, but for the most part it's much better than I thougt possible.
