Amazing
This app is amazing. I honestly hate running, but as I got really out of shape I knew I had to start. The problem was, I got super bored after 10 minutes and had no real motivation to push myself. Then I found this app and gamified the hell out of my runs. The story is alright but the voiceovers are brilliant! And the chase mode makes it much easier to actually do the sprints!!! Money very well spent!!!
Do not update!!!
I was once a devoted user of this app, using it daily. However, my experience drastically changed after the recent update. Instead of creating a separate app for an entirely new system of exercises, which would require a new subscription, they chose to force it into the current app, which unfortunately disrupted its functionality. Had "Marvel Move" been a standalone, quality app, I would have gladly subscribed. They managed to create a separate app for "Zombie Run 5K", even though it's just a branch of the "Zombie Run" story. This decision makes it evident that they lack confidence in "Marvel Move" standing on its own merit.
These modifications have seriously affected the app's core features. Some of the issues I've faced include:
Frequent freezing and crashing.
Significant reduction in the app's speed.
Misdirected links, such as clicking on "Season 1" only to have a different season open.
A number of original settings have vanished, and the ones left had to be manually readjusted.
Key features like Radio mode, Airdrop, and Apple Watch connections, which I rely on daily, have been suspended. Even if they promise a return, it's a substantial inconvenience.
Playback for clips has become inoperative.
Previously accessible episodes are now locked.
I genuinely hope the developers take this feedback seriously and consider undoing some of these unnecessary changes.
I used to love it
I used to love this app. But today, I went for a run, looking forward to another mission and what I got instead was mightly annoying very long icecream commercial. I even don't know what that icecream was, but I am pretty sure I am not going to buy it in my country. Also, very disruptive. And the commercial voice was annoying. And no information if this would go away in the pro version. Also 20EUR is a lot to ask per year. And now they are even increasing the price? Don't make me laugh. And the price increase is in dollars - no information on EUR. Also the same price in EUR and USD and I cannot pay in a currency of my choice.
