Remember flip books? Making your doodles in the corner of a book move as you flip the pages quickly.

It's an early form of animation, but for an updated version, getting Animatic is the right move. You can create your own short animated videos and GIFs and share them with your friends.

Unleash your creativity and draw your own animated stories.

To make your animation flow, you need to pay attention to the links between the frames. Animatic lets you trace over your last frame, visible on the screen in light ink, as you do your drawing.

Let's take a look at how this works. Tap on the ‘+’ in the upper right corner to create a new animation, and begin by drawing a cartoon of a dog lifting its leg. Then hit '+' to get the next frame, this time with your last frame faded out to model your new drawing on. You can keep these earlier outlines on screen to make the dog's movement look more natural.

The tracing feature helps you draw life into your animations.

When you're done drawing, adjust the speed of your animation and tap on the 'Done' icon, then watch your pictures come to life. You can save it as a GIF to send to all your friends on social media or add some fun to your chats by throwing in your own creations.

Plus, Animatic has a bunch of pre-loaded drawings that you can play around with and make your own. If you want to put a bit more pizzazz in your drawings, Animatic is the app for you.
