Soundly: Snoring & Sleep Apnea
A Myofunctional Research Study
If someone wanders in while you’re loudly enunciating the words “knee” and “naw” into your iPhone, it may raise concerns. When you explain it can relieve chronic snoring and you aren’t a toddler imitating an ambulance, it may provoke even more questions. But that’s ok.
Soundly Reduce Snoring is a gamified snoring remedy, designed to provide a quieter night’s sleep. The app offers daily vocal exercises that can combat the root cause. When routinely practised, those siren noises can strengthen and tone the upper airway and reduce the din that sends partners fleeing to a spare room.
The exercises are playful, with Space Invaders-inspired video games that are controlled by your voice. The word “knee” moves your character to the right, while “naw” shifts left – all while automatically firing on descending enemies. The idea is to vanquish the baddies before they reach the foot of the display. You’re encouraged and reminded to play for 15-minutes a day to meet a “knee/naw” goal, while unlocking new levels, characters and power-ups.
The difficulty increases as you progress, ensuring you’re gaining extra strength and, hopefully, reducing your nightly noise levels.
