White Night

A survival horror adventure

View

You’re driving on a cold, dark night when a woman appears in your path without warning. As you swerve to avoid her, your car careers off the road. After waking, alone and in pain, you limp down the street to a vacant old mansion. There’s something wrong with this place – you can feel it – but you need help. And so you step inside.

Thus begins White Night, a moody black-and-white adventure set during the Great Depression. With a movie-like story told through dialogue, the game entails exploration, investigation, puzzle-solving and getting scared out of your wits from time to time.

The game leans on light and shadow to create atmosphere.

As you tap to move your character around the mansion, light and shadow battle for dominance. Matches, therefore, are an essential resource. Use simple touch controls to search for clues. If you’re able to interact with an object, it’ll light up. The game is best when you’ve run out of matches and are terrified of what might come bursting through the inky darkness.

Explore a haunted mansion in search of answers.

What’s with all the creepy portraits? Who left behind the eerie letters on the dresser? Wait – did you just see a ghost drift through the door? The answers await.
