Tolles Konzept mit schlechter Performance

Schon nach kurzen Tests hat mich das Konzept von Agenda überzeugt. Ich mag es, sozusagen "nahtlos" durch Texte zu scrollen, ohne immer wieder in einer separaten Liste zum nächsten Text springen zu müssen. Das simple Tagging mit der zugehörigen Suche erfüllt bestens seinen Zweck, und die (in der Premium-Version) speicherbaren Suchfilter sind sehr vielseitig einsetzbar. Ich habe z.B. eine Liste mit Medikamenten, bei der ich mir schnell anzeigen lassen kann, welche Medikamente der Hausapotheke sich dem Verfallsdatum nähern. Und selbst zum Schreiben beliebiger längerer Texte ist Agenda gut geeignet und ersetzt für mich sogar Apps wie Ulysses. Mutig habe ich dann größere Listen importiert, die früher in Evernote, den Apple Notizen oder Bear waren. Auch das funktioniert gut in Agenda - aber bei einer Liste mit knapp 1000 Einträgen (die zumeist auch - überwiegend kleine - Bilder enthalten) muss ich auf meinem iPad Pro manchmal gute 20 Sekunden warten, bis die App reagiert. Irgendetwas verheddert sich da offenbar beim Sortieren bzw. Aufbereiten der Anzeige. Und zehrt, wie ich zugeben muss, manchmal etwas zu sehr an meiner Geduld. Wenn die Programmierer es schaffen, kräftig an der Performanceschraube zu drehen, gibt es gern fünf Sterne für eine dann beinahe perfekte Notiz-App.

Agenda hat sich nach dem Relaunch stark verbessert. Ich nutze es als Logbuch für meine täglichen Notizen allgemein und auch für alles, was an täglichen Notizen beispielsweise bei dem Lesen von Büchern anfällt. Ich nutze es zusammen mit Obsidian und Ulysses für meine Schreibprojekte. Da ist es wirklich eine sehr gute Ergänzung, da Obsidian, wenn es mal ordentlich mit Notizen (die ja auch PDFs und Mediendateien sein können) angefüllt ist, doch etwas langsam hochfährt und dann für schnelle Notizen, die man spontan machen will, ungeeignet ist. Agenda ist jedenfalls immer sofort da und man kann seine Gedanken sofort eintragen. Auch wenn man mal schnell ein Foto in die Notiz einfügen will, finde ich es mittlerweile wirklich perfekt. Hinzu kommt das faire Abo-Modell: alles, was man in einem Jahr an Features dazu gewonnen hat, darf man auch lebenslang behalten. D.h. man muss nicht ständig alle Features mitgehen und kann auch verschiedene Updates aussetzen, ohne dass die App in irgendeiner Weise nicht mehr funktionsfähig wäre. Sehr gut ist auch die Markdown-Unterstützung und der Markdown-Export, das ist sehr gut für die Zusammenarbeit mit Obsidian und Ulysses.

Ich bin kurz davor von OneNote zu Agenda zu wechseln. Besonders das Verknüpfen der Notizen mit dem Kalender gefällt mir so richtig.2 Dinge wären mir aber noch so wichtig, dass ich mit dem Wechsel noch warten noch werde:1. Als Lehrer stehe ich häufig am Board oder an der Tafel und schaue hin und wieder auf meine Notizen am Ipad. In OneNote kann ich die Notizen beliebig vergrößern, so dass ich den Text auch aus einer gewissen Entfernung erkennen kann. Das geht in Agenda nicht!2. Meinen Notizen füge ich häufig Bilder bei, die ich z.B. am Beamer zeige. Es gibt kein Präsentationsmodus, d.h. ich muss jedes Bild einzeln schließen bzw. öffnen. In den Phasen zwischen 2 Bildern kann dann die ganze Klasse meine Notizen sehen!
