A media/social media platform that accesses a global audience for any performance, live stream or content drop. Akme enriches live and recorded streamed experiences by directly involving remote attendees with in-venue followers and the performance itself. Akme is based on findings of social psychology that show enjoyment of an experience is buoyed by increasing an audience member’s sense of involvement with an event, and the security they derive by belonging to a group and cause with which they identify.
Easy to use by event hosts and remote audiences, Akme works across the spectrum of event production sophistication to generate excitement for a performance by engaging ticketed attendees and creating a more immersive experience than a standalone stream.
How Akme works: Alerted to an upcoming show by a band or venue they follow, fans purchase virtual tickets through Akme and, in doing so, become members of the group of all remote attendees. This enables on-line interaction in the lead-up to the event, during it, and after. Physical attendees also buy the Akme virtual ticket to participate in the action and join in the fun. Friendships form as people post and comment, and artists stoke interest by adding their own content to the event forum. The event itself can be a content drop or livestreamed on Akme using Vimeo-powered tech where event engagement generates actionable data and key marketing insights. Akme takes you there.
