This AV Controller app will turn your iPhone/iPod touch/iPad into a Wi-Fi enabled remote control for your Yamaha network products(*). This App provides you the flexibility to control the available inputs, volume, mute and power commands. It lets users change a song from Internet Radio, USB and command FM/AM tuners or any other internally available source. Music Play feature allows you to stream music tracks directly from your iPhone/iPod touch/iPad to Yamaha network products to so you can enjoy high quality music through your AV system.
Screen sizes of Tablet devices are also supported.

Luft nach oben
Verglichen mit Onkyo hat Yamaha noch viel Luft nach oben. Was ich vermisse sind zb die Informationen zu aktuellen Ein-/Ausgabe Formaten. Das ist nur über das Setup am TV herauszufinden, solche Statusinfos gehören für mich aber in eine professionelle App. Auch die Verwaltung von DAB Radiosendern über Speicherplätze mit Nummern finde ich ziemlich retro. Senderliste Fehlanzeige. Und einen weiteren Stern Abzug hat die Lautstärkeregelung verdient. Mit +- Knöpfen und einem Drehregler finde ich das sehr umständlich. Der Balken ist zwar da, lässt sich aber nicht direkt bedienen. Sonst tut sie was sie soll, mit bunten Bildchen und Icons kommt sie etwas billig daher aber das ist zu verschmerzen.
Funktioniert problemlos
Die App ist gut aufgebaut und unterstützt die Bedienung problemlos.

Umfangreich aber mit Verbindungsproblemen
Die App bietet alles an Funktionen was man sich wünschen kann und arbeitet super mit meinem AVR 880 zusammen sofern das Gerät gefunden werden konnte.
Womit wir zum größten Problem kommen: selbst mit manueller statischer IP wird der Receiver nicht gefunden. Ich muss jedes Mal den gespeicherten Receiver anklicken und in den Dialog um die IP zu ändern und alles einmal bestätigen ohne die IP zu ändern damit der AVR gefunden wird.
Sehr nervig und sollte mit einem kleinen Update zu lösen so man das denn wollte.
