Bloodstained:RotN 9+

First of all, the port doesnt look as bad as some of the demonstration videos (i am using ipad pro 2018 and "epic" settings). that said, it does come with occasional hiccups and lags but they are rather minor - at least to me. also, sometimes the audio does jump out a little too much (when you use the tenticle shard, the volume is way too loud all of a sudden).

what i also wished for is full on controller support (i am using xbox one controller). you can play the game perfectly fine with it, however the hand gesture icons are always displayed, even when you play with a controller - which is bothersome since it takes up quite a bit of the screen. also you cannot call the map or start menu with select and start button, you would need to press icons with your finger to access it. once you are in the menu, the controller completly loses its functionality and its touch screen only. not the end of the world, but for consistency and convenice sake i'd rather have controller support in the menu as well.

graphics wise it is watered down but not n64 as some comments on youtube suggested. again, i would recommend you put on "epic" settings if your device allows it. i think its most notable during cutscenes because the characters arent fully rendered (except for miriam it seems).

if those bugs and the controller support are fixed, i will give it 5 stars. it is one of my favorite games from last year and i own the pc version. so if this port gets cleaned up, i will also buy all the micro transactions/extensions with it and would fully recommend.

UPDATE:
on the december 22 update they added 60FPS which is awesome. the game runs incredibly smooth now - even smoother than on my laptop (razer blade 2017). there can be some significant frame drops though, especially when the screen is crowded. also, the device runs way hotter and the battery life drains faster - as you would expect and the game even kindly notifies you about this.

the controls are also improved via gamepad. the hand gesture icons are not completly gone but faded out to the point where they are almost gone - i can totally live with that. unfortunately you still cannot access the menu and map or navigate within the menu with the controller.

Ich liebe solche Art von Spiel und ich finde es sehr gelungen grafisch wir auch Steuerung sehr gut gelungen also von mir eine klare Kaufempfehlung ich hoffe dass weitere solche Spiele im App Store ihren Weg finden einfach nur Spitzenklasse

Fast Perfektes Spiel an den man viele Stunden Spaß hat. Controller von der PS4 funktioniert, aber bleibt manchmal hängen.

Wenn die kleinen Bugs behoben sind Spitzenklasse.

Alles in allem jeden Cent Wert, ich hoffe es geht weiter.
