Description
Breathe is an air quality monitor for particulate matter. You can automatically check the air quality near your current location. Breathe uses data from the Citizen Science project sensor.community (also known as luftdaten.info) and the World Air Quality Index project.
Particulate matter is associated with health problems such as coughing, shortness of breath, asthma attacks, heart attacks and strokes. Depending on the size of the particles, fine dust can penetrate into the lung tissue and even into the bloodstream. Particulate matter is caused by car exhaust fumes, wood stoves or agriculture, among other things.
Breathe helps you to adapt your activities, such as jogging or the way to work, to the current particulate matter load and thus prevent health problems.
Breathe also includes multiple widgets for your Lock and Home Screen and an app for the Apple Watch. With these, you have the air quality always recognisable at a glance.

Alles wird gut
Diese App reift zunehmend und wird von Update zu Update immer besser. Mit dem „dark mode“ und der Umstellung auf die neue Anzeige ist alles auf einem guten Weg und die Angaben werden ziemlich professionell und verständlich dargestellt. Ich hatte früher mehrere Apps dieser Art parallel laufen, doch das ist jetzt Geschichte. Ich bin begeistert und kann nur sagen weiter so! Das Netz der Messstationen dürfte allerdings etwas engmaschiger sein.

Danke. Das Netz der Messstation kann ich leider nicht beeinflussen. Aber ich habe eine Idee: Stelle doch einfach einen eigenen Sensor auf. Auf luftdaten.info findest du eine super Bauanleitung.
Großartig
Ich habe mir vor zwei Wochen das Sensor-Set gekauft und hier in Köln ins Netz von Luftdaten gehängt. Die App fand ich später und bin begeistert. Ich kann sowohl meinen Sensor sehen, als auch beim Reisen akkurate Werte ablesen. Die App unterstützt mich bei der Entscheidung meine Radfahrten oder Spaziergänge zu planen. Tolles Design, leichte Bedienbarkeit. Dass es keine Desktopversion gibt (ich benutze noch viel den iMac) ist schade, aber mobile devices sind halt der Fokus. Tolle Arbeit. (Das science Projekt verdient übrigens wirklich Unterstützung!). Nur so kann man seinen Beitrag zu besserer Luft leisten!
Feinstaub Info
hier in der Nähe gibt’s einen Messpunkt. Eigentlich eine gute App. Leider liegt das letzte Update bereits ein Jahr zurück. Die App hat Potential. - - - Update: 03.‘24 die App wurde (g)rund erneuert und zeigt jetzt auch viele andere Werte von Sensoren an. Je nach Sensor, noch weitere wir Temperatur, Luftfeuchte …, Leider ist diese App nur mit aktuellem iOS nutzbar. Auf meinem älteren i📱16.7.6 im WLAN Hausnutzung f. andere Apps bleibt die alte App drauf, die neue lässt sich nicht installieren.
Hingegen auf dem anderen und neueren, wo ios17 installiert ist, k.P.

Hallo Foxtrott Sierra. Danke für die Bewertung. Ein Support für mehrere iOS-Versionen erfordert einen wesentlichen Mehraufwand. Daher habe ich mich entschieden, mich auf die aktuelle Version zu fokussieren. Schau doch gerne ob dein iPhone iOS 17 unterstützt, diese iOS-Version ist für alle Geräte ab 2018 verfügbar.
