Quality content, but not a quality app.
Cambridge Dictionary Plus+ has been recommended by my University, and I tend to agree recommending it for the content alone. That said, the application has basic issues like no landscape orientation support on iPads, plus the selected dictionary in the search field may be sometimes reset for no obvious reasons. While the latter is a quirk, the former is completely beyond anyone using a keyboard, forcing you to tilt your head each time. Which is why the Cambridge Dict website is a better choice until this gets fixed.
Reading prior comments on the landscape mode issue from over a year ago, chances are low for a fix anytime soon. C‘mon Cambridge, you could do better … sigh.
High potential
In my opinion this app has a very high potential for individual vocabulary learning due to the access to the cambridge dictionary… BUT it lacks two important features which prevents me from learning with the app. First, please somehow integrate an option to learn with example sentences. Second, please improve the quiz system for long term memory (e. g. space repetition). If these two things were added, it would be my vocabulary learning app of choice.

Great app! I’d give 5 starts if landscape view is supported
I love the app. Unfortunately, the app doesn’t support landscape view, and I mostly used it on my iPad. I hope this item can be included in future iterations—many thanks.
