Beschreibung

Camera Window is the ideal way to see—and hear—your camera feed in a window on your computer screen. Any physical or virtual device that shows up to macOS as a camera or microphone can be used as the feed, including external webcams, internal MacBook cameras, virtual cameras such as Camo Studio or Ecamm Live, and capture devices connected to an HDMI device such as game consoles or video streaming boxes like Apple TV, Roku, Fire TV Stick, or Chromecast.

Fully optimized for Apple Silicon, Camera Window uses very few system resources.

Top Features

1) See a view of your webcam on your computer screen

Sometimes you just need to see your camera feed right on your computer screen. Camera Window lets you any of your connected video devices live in a resizable window while using a minimum of system resources.

2) Don’t just see your camera—hear it!

Camera Window also lets you choose an audio source to monitor as well, whether you want to preview the microphone you’re using ahead of a hot Zoom session, or if you have a game console or Apple TV plugged into your Mac and want to pump the sound into your Twitch stream.

3) Supports virtual cameras

Camera Window is fully compatible with virtual cameras including Camo Studio and Ecamm Live. It is even compatible with finicky, late-initializing virtual webcam software like the Opal C1 webcam.

4) Compatible with Continuity Camera and Desk View

If you have at least macOS 13.0 Ventura and an iPhone running at least iOS 16, you have a webcam with the power of the iPhone imaging system. Continuity Camera together with Camera Window lets you see what your iPhone’s camera is looking at right on your computer screen. Use Desk View to see the view on your desk in front of you!

5) Floating Window mode

For the most unobtrusive experience, such when you are watching video through a capture card or game console output for a Twitch stream, Camera Window’s Floating Window mode creates an always-on-top window with no title bar or other chrome, giving you the most pure video experience possible.

6) Snapshot your video! And keep it for a lifetime (optional)

That’s right, you can even take a snapshot of a frame from your video to keep it as a picture on your computer. Just press ⌘S and wait for the magic! (Not available in full screen mode.)

Neuheiten

Version 1.1.0

In addition to the usual bug fixes and performance improvements:

- Added an option to prevent the screen saver from covering your video
- Improved support for a class of slow-initializing cameras
- Compatibility with macOS 14 Sonoma

Want: Size to native resolution

Works well, sometimes flickering when framerates are missmatched. I use it to mirror my teleprompters feed via an HDMI splitter and Camlink Capture card for online white boarding on to my main monitor. 5 Stars for the option, to lock the window size to the native incoming resolution of the camera feed. Otherwise there is aliasing of the Camera Window. Otherwise, works great!
