The Camper Tribe application offers travelers the possibility of finding other travelers around them, and getting in touch.

The application displays on a map all the travelers present in an area, with an accuracy of 10 kilometers; that is to say that the exact position of a traveler is not displayed (out of respect for privacy) but only a 'probability of presence'.

Selecting a traveler on the map gives access to some information about him. The traveler page gives more details, and allows you to follow a traveler by adding him to your favorites.

You can easily chat with other travelers by sending messages on the chat screen of the selected traveler.

To guarantee collaborative operation, the application has to transmit the location regularly (every 3 hours). A specific authorization is required at the first launch of the application.
This position is then only accessible to other travelers with an accuracy of 10 kilometers.

Ich finde die Funktion und Idee hinter dieser App fantastisch. Je nachdem wo ich unterwegs bin kann ich schauen, ob es in meiner Umgebung jemanden gibt der sich ebenfalls treffen möchte. Dadurch sind schon tolle Freundschaften entstanden. In letzter Zeit allerdings, hängt die App immer wieder. Ist auf jeden Fall noch verbesserungswürdig, aber dann sehe ich kein Problem für den Durchbruch dieser App. Die Idee ist wirklich fantastisch!

Only with GPS access to the app 🤬👎! What if you are not exactly with camper on the road and his private stay does NOT want to share? This is nothing but a permanent surveillance! Nur mit GPS Zugang zur App 🤬👎! Was ist wenn man nicht grade mit Camper unterwegs ist und seinen privat Aufenthalt NICHT teilen will? Das ist nix anderes als eine permanente Überwachung!
