Description
Now you can make the environment sound! By using the camera of your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch, you can scan your surroundings and ColorSay will make the colors audible to you.
ColorSay calls the colors by name!
Set up one of five color sets for speech output, and ColorSay will announce the name of the closest known color. ColorSay identifies the color names in English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, Turkish, Russian, Chinese and Japanese.
ColorSay converts colors into tones!
Choose between different sound modes for sonochromatic reproduction of the color impressions. The dominant colors of an image will be interpreted as tones in real-time, which will enable you to identify the individual color families acoustically.
ColorSay is optimized to use the iOS accessibility features including VoiceOver, but does not rely on these in order to work without limitations.

Nützlich allerdings nicht ganz ausgereift
Die Idee dieser App ist eigentlich gut, allerdings sollten noch einige Probleme behoben werden. So zeigt man zweimal auf die gleiche Farbe und die App nennt einem verschiedene Möglichkeiten. Also weiß man nie welche Farbe richtig ist. Auch ist die Farberkennung sehr von der Belichtung abhängig, da ColorSay Licht und Schatten nicht unterscheiden kann. Wenn diese Probleme behoben werden würden, wäre sie sehr gut.
Die beste Alternative zu Farberkennungsgeräten für Blinde und Sehbehinderte
Es gibt eine Fülle von Apps, die Farberkennung ermöglichen. Der unterschied zu dieser App ist jedoch, dass sie längst nicht so detailliert und genau beschreiben.
Ich bin blind. Mit dieser App ist es problemlos möglich, Kleidung passend zusammen zu stellen. Auch, wenn die Hemden kariert sind oder der Schlipsstriche oder Punkte hat.
Ebenfalls ist es möglich, die Farbe von Leuchtdioden zu erkennen. Diese verändern im Betrieb bei vielen Geräten die Farbe, um den jeweiligen Status an zu zeigen. Diese App ist in der Lage, die Farbe korrekt zu erkennen. Auch die Feineinstellungen müssen erwähnt werden. Anfangs dauert es ein wenig, um die jeweils benötigte Einstellung zu finden; man muss probieren. Will ich nur einen kleinen Punkt sehen und dessen Farbe erfahren oder interessiert mich eine Fläche. Man könnte noch so einiges über diese App schreiben. Ausprobieren ist aber der bessere Weg.
Ich habe, trotz, dass ich einige solcher Apps probiert habe, bislang keine bessere gefunden!

Die App funktioniert einwandfrei. Natürlich hängt die Qualität der Erkennung mit der Kamera und der Beleuchtung zusammen, aber mit der Iphonekamera sind die Ergebnisse wirklich sehr gut.
Wer allerding Bilder importieren möchte sollte zu Colorlearn vom gleichen Anbieter greifen,dort bekommt man auch gleich noch den Englischen Namen angezeigt.
