Coton is a beautiful cloud identification app for your iPhone and iPod Touch.
Identify clouds by browsing stunning pictures and detailed descriptions of all the different types of clouds you may spot. Coton relies on the International Cloud Atlas classification, the authoritative book from the World Meteorological Organization.
Learn about cloud types and their corresponding weather forecast including chances of rain and storm. Try to figure out the weather of the day, just by looking at the sky!
Coton includes:
- 33 cloud index cards for the main cloud genera, species, varieties and special clouds
- a gallery containing more than 120 awesome pictures
- an illustrated guide which simply explains what is a cloud and how clouds are classified
- a chart of the 10 cloud genera
- a setting allowing you to switch between metric and imperial measurement system

Sehr gute App ^^
Eine schöne gut gemachte App mit einer großen Auswahl an Bildern mit Beschreibung bei der man auch etwas lernen kann.Schau in den Himmel und suche das passende Foto,und schon weisst du um welche Wolken es sich handelt.Mit der Zeit bekommt man Übung und nimmt auch den Sonnen oder Regenschirm mit. Den 5.ten Stern vergebe ich,wenn das ganze noch in Deutsch übersetzt wird.

Sehr schöne Fotos und Beschreibung der verschiedenen Wolkenformationen. Viele Variationen der einzelnen Wolkenformationen sind auch abgebildet und beschrieben. Sowohl zum Lernen als auch einfach "nur" aus Interesse - die App ist sehr schön konzipiert. Für Wetterkunde ist das Fotomaterial ebenso perfekt zu gebrauchen. Nur in den Himmel schauen und vergleichen! Den 6.Stern gibt es, wenn die App auch auf Deutsch erscheint....
My new sky catalogue
Amazing pictures with good discriptions of cloud types and also subtypes in different layers! Also lots of Special clouds and phenomena are explained in a nice and easy way. As a pilot I have already seen a huge amount of clouds and I love this app which helps giving them names :-)
