GO THE EXTRA MILE FOR NURSES - Intensive Care, as a speciality, wouldn’t exist if not for the hard-working and learned nurses. The nurses spend the most time with the patient and are often the first ones to pick up subtle changes in their clinical status. Go The Extra Mile offers questions for the nurses working in intensive care. Many of these questions focus on the interpretation of monitor waveforms (e.g., ventilator, ECG and pacing, capnogram, pulmonary artery catheter or central venous pressure waveform, etc.) or the setup of complex systems like continuous renal replacement therapy. The passing mark for these tests is set at 70%. Upon passing the test, a certificate of completion will be emailed. The certificate states the approximate time required to complete each test, including the review of feedback.

Great App for exam preparation

Go the extra mile is an app for MCQ in Critical care. I learned with this app for the EDIC Part I and I have to say this is a great app. The questions are sorted in topics like nutrition, cardiology, respiratory physiology. So it is good for self assessment, you can see where are your strenghts and weaknesses. There are more than 1100 questions so you should take time for preparation. I would also suggest to read the comments to the questions. They are very helpful. You can join a WhatsApp Group for the exam preparation, too. This is a very good motivation. I can recommend this app to all people who are preparing for exams in critical care medicine. You learn a lot and the questions are frequently updated.
