You don’t need lots of time or pro skills to make the most of this ultra-fast, super-intuitive photo editor. Darkroom can access your whole photo library at once, letting you immediately start cropping, adjusting curves and using preset filters or creating your own—until your pics are exactly how you want them.
Eigentlich alles was man braucht...
...aber die App hat leider ein kleines Manko. Auf der positiven Seite stehen Cloudsave für die eigene Filter, die Ansicht der Fotobibliothek ohne Import und die einfache Bedienung die trotzdem viele Möglichkeiten bereithält. Alle voran hier das HSL Tool das ich bei vielen Apps bisher vermisste und für mich auch Kaufgrund war. Jetzt kommt das große Aber: Zwischen RAW/DNG files und gewöhnlichen jpg oder heif files unterscheidet die App nur bei der Belichtung. Ich hatte gehofft, dies würde für alle Slider (Lichter/Schatten, Weißabgleich, HSL, usw.) gelten. Dies ist ärgerlich, da so viele Details aus entweder hellen oder dunklen bereichen nicht mehr aufzuarbeiten sind und durch die anscheinend in 8 Bit stattfindende Bearbeitung bei sehr feinen Farbverläufen teilweise Artefakte entstehen.
Also liebe Darkroom Entwickler, bitte eine vollständige RAW Bearbeitung nachreichen! Die einzige Alternative wäre Lightroom CC Mobile, was mein Preisverständnis bei weitem übersteigt. Diese App hat Potential, aber der letzte technische Schliff fehlt noch. Trotzdem sehe ich meine neun Euro gut investiert. Sobald Darkroom all diese Fähigkeit spendiert bekommt, gibt es von mir auch volle fünf Sterne.
Update: Habe gerade erfahren, dass das schon der Fall ist. Volle Punktzahl!

Thank you for you thoughtful feedback. When editing a RAW file all the tools apply directly to RAW, sorry for the confusion. Please note that the curves tool allows you to tweak your lights and darks at the detail you are asking for.

Seit dem letzten Update werden meine RAW-Dateien wieder auf meinem IPhone 5s angezeigt. Also zurück zu den fünf Sternen.
Darkroom bietet alles was man braucht, um unterwegs schnell seine Bilder zu bearbeiten. Und obendrauf gibt es ist ein elegantes Interface. Die eigenen Einstellungen kann man als neuen Filter abspeichern. Das ist praktisch, wenn man mehrere Bilder der mit ähnlichen Problemen hat.
Eins würde ich mir für die Zukunft wünschen: Regler sollte man auch mit einem numerischen Wert einstellen können. Für den Weißabgleich wäre das vorteilhaft.
