The Chinese Room’s cult classic Dear Esther arrives on iOS for the first time, in this faithful interpretation of the internationally renowned game.
A man stands on a desolate Hebridean shore. As he takes his first step forward, he starts to speak: “Dear Esther...” and so begins a dreamlike, complex tale of love, loss and redemption. We’re invited to explore the windswept island, descending into an eerie, otherworldly story where reality fragments and falls apart.
Generally recognised as kick-starting the walking simulator subgenre, Dear Esther features dynamic narration that means the story changes each time you return to the island. Since the original release, Dear Esther has sold over one million units and is seen as a benchmark in interactive and emotional storytelling. PC Gamer said it “provokes thought and feeling in a way few other games do.” It also won praise for its visuals and music, with The Daily Telegraph saying “Dear Esther's visuals are majestic”, and Jessica Curry’s soundtrack receiving awards and nominations from BAFTA among others.”
Dear Esther includes subtitles in French, German, Spanish and Russian.

Simple und wundervoll.
An alle, die sich hier Beschwerden, dass dies kein Spiel sei - genau, das ist es eben nicht. Aber ihr habt auch die Beschreibung nicht gelesen. Es ist ein „walking Simulator“, eine lose erzählte Geschichte, während man durch eine wunderschöne, aber lebensfeindliche Insel läuft und Relikte der in den Geschichten erwähnten Bewohner der Insel findet - oder bildet man sich das ein oder andere Relikt nicht sogar ein? Wie steht es um die Psyche des Charakters mit welchem man die Insel erkundet?
Es ist eins der „Spiele“, die mich seit meinem ersten Spielen vor einigen Jahren nicht mehr losgelassen haben und ich komme immer wieder zurück. Wie schön, jetzt auch auf dem iPhone für eine Weile auf die wundersame Insel von Dear Esther zu entfliehen.

Faszinierend, dieses Spiel!🤗Für mich etwas ganz Neues! Ich spiele es seit 1,5 Stunden und bin total gefesselt! Die Atmosphäre auf der Insel (man denkt, man wäre wirklich dort!) die schöne Musik, die literarisch anspruchsvollen Texte... einfach nur toll! Ein echtes Erlebnis!👏🏻💯 Ich kann jeden nur bedauern, der für etwas so Besonderes keinen Sinn hat!

P.S. Nur leider viel zu kurz! Nach 2 Stunden durchgespielt! Ich hoffe sehr auf eine Fortsetzung!

Interessante Geschichte und schöne Landschaft. Besonders gut über iPad Pro M1 und AirPods Pro.
